Hacking Ashes Cricket - Hanging

Using USB Loader GX, I launch Ashes Cricket. It passes the health warning, goes for a few seconds into the into, shows loading and then hangs with a screeching noise.
At that stage I have to hard power off (for want of a better phrase).

Any ideas what could be causing this? Does this game just not work from USB?

Use the search function mate. There's a thread about this already. You need a save game file then everything is sweet. Apart from the game that is...which sucks.

Of course, I got out of that habit since it kept telling me "flood protection" was stopping me searching.
