Hey everyone, I wanted to install the arm9 loader hax with my own dumped OTP.bin, but when I launched the 3dsx i compiled via the website in the tutorial, it stucks on "Exploiting arm9..." (like 10 mins or so).

Is my New3DS bricked ?

I mean, I don't know if I should just reboot my 3ds or what, but yeah, I'm kinda wondering what's happening right now to be fair.

@Ericjwg Yo mate, i wanna know one thing before i go ahead and install A9LH on my n3ds later on!

the thing i wanna know is, after i Restore both (my original sysNAND and my og. emuNAND) like you know after the whole backing up and downgrading down to 2.1 < etc. after i do that and then do the restore part.

should i then copy my original Nintendo3DS folder which contains all my installed cias ? i believe not yes? cause i will have to wipe the mSD again for the otp.

you know what i only want to know ?! >< i just want to know how exactly i would go on to have to Copy my original Nintendo3DS folder only once.. Why? because my original Nint3ds folder has like 40gb in it and i wouldnt want to delete it again and then re-copy it during the process. XD

so how and when should i be copying my original content "Nintendo3DS folder" .

You don't need to touch the Nintendo 3DS folder at all throughout the entire process

Another thing that worked for me was running mini pasta on the sysNAND firstly then trying the .3dsx. It worked fine after that.

maybe I'm wrong about that:D. tinyformat wont' remove your install data:P. that's nice! but a new unique id folder will generate under nintendo 3ds dir though(this doesn't bother much...)

I'm so sorry.... my bad....:(

"TinyFormat is a small utility to format Sys/EmuNAND using FS:InitializeCtrFileSystem but without formating your SD card."

Ok, I'm able to get to sysNAND, my problem now is that I can't use cfw like pasta CFW, when i use it in sysNAND it just lead me to a black screen.
And, I tried to install Pokemon yellow to emuNAND but when i launch it it stay ont the "3ds" logo screen.

What I want to do is install it to my sysNAND so I can play.

Do you guys know what can I do ?

EDIT: Ok I think i should just make an UPDATED sysNAND, but whith my problem using pasta CFW, I don't really know what I can do, since decrypt9WIP doesn't let me clone my sysNAND to my emuNAND.

Oh, and when I try to inject my emuNAND backup I did it says that it's not a proper backup for this N3ds.

EDIT : I managed to re-inject it with emuNANDtool.exe but now when i boot into emuNAND it's like there no hack, I don't see any of my installed cias nor can install any via spiderhax.

Very weird no ?

check your nintendo 3ds folder, it should be quite large if you have installed some games.
if that folder is quite large, you need to re-add those title info back to title/ticket.db by using BBM to "reinstall" those cias

Ok, looks like it didn't catch all my cias with my re-injection, the folder is like 85 Mo.
But still why can't I install any cia in emuNAND or even launch decrypt9wip ?

You was right, i just forgot to re copy my old Nintendo 3DS folder back to my SD card.
Everything working just fine, except the CFW thing in sysNAND, any idea about that ?

I really would like to make a hack that I would enjoy playing, and maybe other people would too. swapping to the EU version would also mean my US friends could not legally play it
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I am definitely considering porting over some of the EU features without using the actual ROM itself, tbh that would probably be the best way to go about it... but i'm sad that the voice acting is so.... not good on the US version. May not be a way around that though

@TwoSpikedHands just switch, all the knowledge you learned still applies and most of the code and assets should be the same anyway
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    and realistically they wouldn't

be able to play it legally anyway since they need a ROM and they probably don't have the means to dump it themselves

It does that when I edit a post.

do y'all think having an sd card that has a write speed of 700kb/s is a bad idea?

  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@Karma177 that sd card is 100% faulty so yes, its a bad idea
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
even the slowest non-sdhc sd cards are a few MB/s
  • Karma177 @ Karma177:
@The Real Jdbye it hasn't given me any error trying to write things on it so I don't really think it's faulty (pasted 40/50gb+ folders and no write errors)
