Hello

I am making a thread because I am having issues trying to run both Mario and Luigi remakes on my Old 3DS XL where whenever I open them, I get send to the screen attached and I have tried everything I looked for. I have tried installing the games via FBI, installing the games via HShop, manually importing the seeds, getting a preseeded download of the games and deleting all extra data in my 3DS but I always get send back to this screen and I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. So if anyone can help me figure out what I have to do to fix this, that'll be very much appreciated.

Do you have cheats or plugins enabled?

Open Rosalina menu (from the main 3DS screen) via L+Select+Down and disable plugin loading. Press B to back out to the 3DS menu again, then try loading the game. It's the only thing I've ever seen that crashes games like that.

Nope, there weren't any cheats enabled and plugin loading was disabled.

Is your console up to date? Have you tried copying / reformatting your SD card, etc? Even using a new / replacement SD card. Do any other newly installed games exhibit this behaviour?

I don't think you're doing anything wrong, but there's clearly something wrong somewhere, otherwise it wouldn't crash.

My 3DS is 10.3.0.28 (U if that's important too, but all my games are USA), typically updating your Nintendo systems is a bad thing when modding them so I didn't think of doing so. All the games I have installed boot up fine, it's just those two in particular and my SD File was fresh from the box when I started modding my 3DS.

If you're using the latest Luma, there's absolutely no harm in updating your 3DS. I have 1 3DS that isn't hacked on an old firmware "just because", and the rest of them are on the latest firmware. They all work perfectly well with Luma.

Update your Luma and then update your console. You can use Universal Updater to update Luma if you'd rather not mess around with removing the SD card, etc. It won't affect anything. If you're unsure, go read up on that 3DS hacks guide you can find online. It'll tell you the same thing.

This will likely be your problem.
