
Actually, most of 'white' dead pixels don't have anything to do with the screen itself. In order to check that, make a black 480x272 .BMP in paint and add some white pixel-size spots. Then load it on your PSP. I noticed they are about five times larger than the pixel I though was stuck. It's a problem in crappy faceplates and the transparent plastic on the screen is probably defective. I'll order a good one from divineo.![]()



I bought the exact same PSP (2.71, brandnew, and everything) and pulled it out with a red (dead) pixel and a white (stuck) pixel. There are homebrew apps out there to unstick your pixels and even attempt to revive some dead ones. I've only tried one and it didn't work for me, but numerous people have claimed to have had success with these apps...I bought a brand new psp yesterday (firmware 2.71) and found that it had two stuck pixels (1 blue, 1 white).
