I have a REGULAR US 9.4 emunand 3ds. The save files are saved onto the SD card if im aware.

I also have an JAP NEW 3DS waiting for gateway 9.2 support.

I want to play, animal crossing and fantasy life.

My question: when support for N3DS arrives for gateway, can i just transfer the save from the old SD to the new sd? or will it be corrupted?

Ive been holding off on playing cause i dont want to start over once support comes.

depends on your original sysnand and whether the gateway fw is smart enough to try multiple encryption methods. The situation is complicated if you somehow try to downgrade sysnand to 4.5 after saving games on a newer firmware. Even if gateway can read the saves, which encryption method should it use when the file is saved again?
