sooo.... the government and apple is bored and is creating this story for the lulz..

so dont trust the media which told us what Snowden knew .

so life is that black and white. every media outlet is bad... every person that works for a big company is bad. every person which is selected by a person to be in government is bad. every person who voted for some one to be elected is bad.

so 99% plus of people are bad.

okay..
snowden revealed nothing that everyone did not already know

no no fo thr lulz they are manipulating the public
it is good PR for them makes it look like they are standing up for their customers privacy but that is total BS
manufactured story to sell more loss of privacy to the public and make it look like these companies were resisting when in fact they were 100% complicit

they want the public to be intimidates so that they stay in fear and self censor , the panopticon doesn't work unless the prisoners know they are being watched , that was the whole reason for the phony snowjob story
it's all part of their social engineeering

So by your logic criminals/terrorists deserve to have privacy and then who knows when they attack.
By your logic we don't deserve to have privacy because there are ass holes in the world.

If they unlock one phone, it shows they could unlock everyone's so people would be like'" oh no nobody is safe"
Or something like that, I didn't really read it, I don't care.

*slowly backs out of the argument*

This is so much bigger than just "protecting criminals" this is about privacy. If you don't understand what this is really about, then I'm betting you're an FBI plant.

It's better to be safe than sorry so yeah, Apple's in the wrong for not unlocking that iPhone for FBI.

You might as well go get your rf chip implant and ID number tattoo now. You obviously dont understand that when you have to infringe on people's rights to protect people's rights your more of a threat then the enemies your trying protect people from.

'Better safe then sorry' please. Hundreds of people get murdered every single day. You could get shot in the head today sitting in traffic over road rage. Or die while getting mugged. Or someone could blow your brains out for no reason other then they are crazy. All of those are more likely then dieing in a terrorist attack. Shit, youre more likely to have a meteor come through your roof and kill you. What are you doing to prevent that?

is not THAT iPhone... read...
the fbi is asking basically to make an iOS with a backdoor for the fbi to exploit and access anytime they want to any device.

apple with a court order can and will reset a password from a device ("We know that law enforcement and intelligence agencies face significant challenges in protecting the public against crime and terrorism. We build secure products to keep your information safe and we give law enforcement access to data based on valid legal orders. But that’s wholly different than requiring companies to enable hacking of customer devices & data. Could be a troubling precedent.")

even apple doesn't know a leak in thier system big enough to crack the private storage of thier phones cause they never intended to look there, they just wanna know what you're thinking of in a way of products they could market... they only use a bot for this online, and never really see the person.
what the fbi wants is not that easy, it means apple would have to downgrade the security severely by an upgrade for all iphones of this model so it is autoinstalled, the backdoor this would open means that anyone with sufficient knowledge could also use this tocrack security and read your phone. even if this requires an actual connection by wire it could still be used by a pro... for example there are chargers for some old android phones that can read info of the device connected and store this.
this info includes your bank security info, your gouverment connections, your daily talk about your job, your religion, your sexual partners in some cases. really this would do more harm than good... even in the best scenario they find out that these so called terrorrist also had talked to john davis in the past year wich leaves them with nothing concrete they wouldn't be able to find out doing some old style good research.
opening this phone would be considdered normal if it would only effect this one phone, but it won't!
you really wanna give your credit info in the hands of a criminal? your sexual misstake to a criminal? the way your past company went bankrupt to a criminal? all phone numbers you've got storen on your mobile to a criminal?
yes it's the FBI, but there could even be a terrorist within the FBI for all you know... please for once learn to look further than what advertisements tell you to beleve...

The FBI does not demand a backdooor to be installed on every iPhone. They just want it on this one because apple is the only one that can do this, source: the court order.
What they want is: to have unlimited guesses; to have no delays in guesses; and to be able to input guesses via another computer, i.e. not inputting passwords manually.
To achieve this they want: Apple to create a new iOS which can only be installed on the target device (by some id stuff) and installed in RAM in recovery mode.
The ramifications of this are: It sets precedent to allow for this to happen to any secure device owned by anyone; it is EXTREMELY damaging to Apple; it could allow for requests from other countries with... even less interests in human rights; and it also allows for requests for other secure data at Apple and other companies.
Outside Apple: Android will not be safe, FBI could force the same measures.
And what will the FBI achieve: Not a lot, the NSA probably monitors enough, and with requests to mobile providers, most information present on the device (associates, friends, etc.) can be obtained by other means (call logs, metadata).

What people want: Terrorists to be stopped; To trust their technology; For the FBI to go and do one; and to trust their Government.

End note: One of the statements above may only be related to me, but who knows.

Oh noes! You just stole an iPhone! Now you can force it to factory reset and make it yours! All of this technical bullshit is stupid.
Meanwhile, Ruby, and a few of of her friends are passing notes in class. Can't do some of your fancy technical shit on that, can you? |⚆ ͜ʖ⚆|
