Is it possible to use sports club USA dlc on eur console by using region change on the dlc?

Would that mean you wouldn't need to run aocpatcher?

The DLC is just dummy text files, no need to even edit they are the exact same as the EUR DLC

What I wanted to do, is just get the (us) dlc using funkii u or utikdiwnloader or any nus downloader. And install using wupinstaller (on patched sysnand). Is there any way of doing that without using aoc patcher or saving?

Oh well use NUS Packer to simply repack them with the EUR title ID instead, should work just fine

Can anyone explain properly how to get the Wii Sports Club stuff going? I'm having the EU version FWIW.. Do i just need to make maps 0010 to 0014 and inject them?

Does AOC Patcher work with disc games ? I can't seem to make it work. I could use SD Cafiine to launch some DLC for my Smash 4 (on disc) but the AOC Patcher method (with the same files, but in the proper folder and followed the instructions in the readme) doesn't do anything !

this tool is now redundant, please use cfw and wup installer instead

Is it possible to modify the region of a DLC so it works with another region?

For example the hot springs DLC from Tokyo Mirage Sessions that was not made available to EU or US.

it is possible to modify the region, but if it was never released for the region I doubt the files would do anything so it would be pointless

It does work with disc games.... You need to install the dlc to nand while in cfw.
That's exactly what I do. I get the "please ensure complete WUP files are there" error, no matter where I get the DLC from (NUS grabber, funkyiiu, uTikDownloadHelper). Maybe it's just with Smash, but it definitely does not work.

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM

  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm

i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
