Oh, no I am prolly gonna get a N3ds. I just wanted to figure out what I did wrong so I don't mess up another one. (Been modding crap for a long time and never bricked anything....)

In that case get a N3DS(XL) any one you want and hit up @hundshamer for a nand mod for roughly 50$ to future proof the console and get arm9loaderhax which will be the new standard soon.Oh, no I am prolly gonna get a N3ds. Here's what I was thinking. Price of 3DS ($190 after sales tax new at Gamestop at the moment)+ mod ($50) + shipping ($7) + convenience fee ($5). Right now it would be $252 shipped. Well that would be just a guess right now.hmmmm, I dunno that seems ominously expensive. Let me know how much though.

Ohh, I heard that it's not safe to downgrade from versions bellow 10.2, maybe that was the reason of the brickI am not sure. I was trying to downgrade to 9.2 from 9.4. Can't figure out what i did wrong.
For N3DS?? And... Are you thinking on ship them to other countries? Here's what I was thinking. Price of 3DS ($190 after sales tax new at Gamestop at the moment)+ mod ($50) + shipping ($7) + convenience fee ($5). Right now it would be $252 shipped. Well that would be just a guess right now.
It's really safe to downgrade from below 10.2, that is just false. I downgraded one 3DS at 9.4, and another at 9.8 with no issues.Ohh, I heard that it's not safe to downgrade from versions bellow 10.2, maybe that was the reason of the brick
*snip*

Probably this.Did you make sure you didn't use another region firmware pack or a new 3ds firmware pack?
There's also some guide floating around that uses and links to a really old version of sysupdater, this version actually hardbricks if it fails during the process, not sure why OP didn't update his link. Julian's build is the best one for safe downgrades.Probably this.
I'm sure hardbrick's impossible if you use corresponding cia pack, as it does safe firm then native firm, amirite?

which one is? I'm waiting for a N3DS to arrive today, and don't want a beautiful new brick of $200 in my desk, and want to avoid a hard-modeThere's also some guide floating around that uses and links to a really old version of sysupdater, this version actually hardbricks if it fails during the process, not sure why OP didn't update his link. I would, but the shipping charge would change. Also note that the prices would be in USD.

yeah I know about that, well, I'll PM you when I save some money, so we can check taxes and shipping charge, thanks!I would, but the shipping charge would change. Also note that the prices would be in USD.
not without sending it to nintendo, or planning to just use it as a paperweight.Isn't there a way to unbrick without a NAND backup? Requires a hardmod though.

No $5 fee for a mod if you send me your 3DS.So, the mod itself is $50? $7 of shipping if is from U.S. and the $5 dollars of fee?
Good deal!

How much would you charge to downgrade an old 3DS with 10.6.0.31 firmware on it ?????????????Oh, no I am prolly gonna get a N3ds. I just wanted to figure out what I did wrong so I don't mess up another one. (Been modding crap for a long time and never bricked anything....)
