Hacking Anyone try to dump 3DS roms?

So it's like-
Monkey Ball 3D- 256MB
Ghost Recon- 256MB
LSW3- 512MB

Looks like none of these have come close to the maximum cartridge limit (2GB). Wonder if any of the launch titles use the full allotted 2GB that is available.

I'm going to assume Tales of the Abyss is the first rom to go over 1gb, at least, I hope it goes up at least 1gb...I think PS2 one was 3.75gb? I hope they didn't compress the audio. I'll know in 2 weeks I guess

Dunno about knowing in two weeks. They're only dumping EU games and it's not coming out in Europe for a while. Unless you're getting the Japanese version and meant you'll find out about the audio.

It's not that easy. You need to figure out how to make that dumper work...if it was that easy, there wouldn't be a need to hack

Hate to break it to you buddy, but they did somewhat hack DSi mode. We can play DSi enhanced games with a flashcard, and DSi homebrew using Sudokuhax and a few more which got released recently. Not only that, but we already DID dump 3 games...And it was no help at all AFAWK.

There's so much irony in the situation Nintendo is on, and how it relates to the 3DS being hacked.

Many people refuse to buy the 3DS because it's not hacked (i.e they'll have to pay for overpriced games)
Many normal people (see: not pirates!) refuse to buy it because the lack of games.
...It lacks the games because the 3DS was overpriced and had a weak launch library, and thus had too small of a fanbase for devs to waste their time making games for it.
Now the 3DS price has dropped, so maybe things will change within the next half year; people are buying it just to buy it now that it's so cheap, regardless of weak library.

If the 3DS is hacked any time soon, game sells will be so low, devs/publishers will be discouraged from making any many games for the 3DS in the future.
...Having a flashcard would be useless for us, because we'd have like 3 decent games to download on it.

I'm all for this thing being hacked, but not until Xmas of 2012 at the minimum. I'm willing to let it collect dust until then, so long as it means they'll have a decent library for the flashcards to actually make use of, before we pirate the developers into submission and make them stop caring about the 3DS all together.

Exactly how poor do you think everyone is?
3DS games are dirt cheap. People typically don't have a 3DS because it has few games out right now. That's about the only reason. There are a few stingy people i'm sure, where Nintendo could sell every game for $5 a pop and they'd still wait to be able to pirate the games, but they're a minority.

Yeah, I'm really looking to the moon future with this, but a good lineup should be able to persuade people.
