I'm new to it and loving it, it's so smooth to draw on the DSi XL, big screen and much more precise than my shitty DS Lite.

Anyway, my nick is MrWily if someone's interressted.
 
I've messed with it, but never actually attempted to make anything good. My best work is a flipnote of an octopus slowly growing a mustache, with Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up" playing in the background.
 
i mostly did simple animations, of simple cartoons
but i usually use it as a notebook actually xD
there's a japanize guy, yuuiichi, who does mario stuff, for ex my fav is the mario kart one
 
Damn, this brought back so many memories. I used to have a tiny PC program that basically did the same thing, made alot of those a long time ago.
You got me hyped thinking it was some kind of DS game I actually missed out on. But since I can't find it anywhere, I'm assuming it's one of those DSi exclusive games

So how did he get it on the computer? I can only upload/download through the actual program.

There's alot of shit out there, people (kids) just uploading still pictures telling people to give them stars and what not. And no one is cleaning it up, it's like a day care center without teachers and guardians... :/ refering to: http://flipnote.hatena.com/

yeah, it is exclusive to DSi/ DSi XL.
 
Idunno' how they get them on the PC, but I imagine it involves some specific hardware (or a very good camera placed up against the screen).

Yeah, the online service is mostly full of crap and star-begging, but those are usually easy to spot, and for ever 5 pieces of crap there's at least one entertaining one.

I've got a few nice ones saved, but Idunno' how to share them, my camera's crappy.

That piranah one was awesome, clever and funny.

Yeah, that's the site. I think it has been poisoned by all the star fckers and adolescence, quite a lot of good ones on youtube though. I'm thinking of posting there instead.

I figured out how to get it on my computer now, it was quite simple(a lot of people probably already knew this). When you save, choose "other" and save as gif pictures on the SD card, put the SD card in your computer and viola. Now I can edit it in iMovie.

Yeah, quite helpful, but the main problem is learning how to shape the mouth to the sounds of different words, but I guess that's just takes practice.

Someone should really talk to Hatena about applying some much needed updates, my projects are now exceeding what is possible in this program, I can only record 240 frames of sound and I really needed like 245 to make the flip make sense... And there are many tools that could be implemented as well, like a filling bucket(which cover and area in paint), a line tool(to make quick, straight lines) and some others I can't think of at the mo.

The quick, straight line thingy already existed. When you draw a line, you have to hold Start. This makes it possible to make horizontal en vertical lines only. If you hold the Select button, you can draw straight lines, in any direction you want.
