Misc Anyone fixed a broken hinge?

Snapped my hinge when i opened my ds yesterday has anyone fixed these with superglue or something before? I dont want a replacement shell because the quality of them is awful for the ds and i like this color

If you have the pieces, and are careful, sure, you can probably fix that.
Will it hold though? Hard to say.

Broken DSes for harvesting official shells are really cheap if you look around.
Even in this color

Yeah thats about how much i got this one with a dead screen lol, i think these old ds shells are just really brittle now this hinge break seems quite common, i dont use my pokepark one because i dont want to snap it

Yeah i hope china starts making some good quality shells like with the gameboys those are all quite good, no love for ds or psp though

This may be an option for you other than superglue, which will be very difficult if you get it somewhere you don't want given the tiny space. Search for "UV Bonding & Welding Glue" on Amazon, since I can't figure out how to post a direct link on here.

I think i will get some epoxy as it's probably stronger

I took it apart and used epoxy to attach the bit that broke off, it's not pretty but feels solid for now

Yeah this seems to just straight up be a hardware fault of these models. The Phat and Lite had the cracking hinges, the DSI had the R and L buttons breaking.
