Hacking Anyone else giving up on Maxconsole?

Ps3newz is appalling! They wont allow ANY discussion on there forums of any news that hasnt been posted on the main site 1st! All forum downloads are subject to earning points for posting. Its kind of a dictatorship being run by the retard of an owner who has to be in total control. Whats the point in having a site if freedom of speech and news spreading is culled as soon as its posted! Best thing that ever happened to me is getting banned for posting news about the wiinja mod before "they" posted it 1st! Lol

MaxConsole has one really great benefit (Dark_Alex) and for this (Dark_Alex) they are quite important (Dark_Alex). Also, their forum for the psp and the psp's ps1 emu are the best. but since that is psp related i digress.

My sentiments exactly - PSP forum is great. The rest of their forums....

Yeah Maxconsole Sucks... I've made a small page on my website and copied this review (including link to source) on it. I'll try to get it high into google when searching for 'maxconsole' .
Their were already some rumours that they weren't objective, even Costello mentioned it in the DS Xtreme affair.... Turns out it may even have been true!

I used to visit Maxconsole a lot when the ViperGC came out. All the news at the time were quite good and could be felt important. Nowadays I visit it for X360 stuff but I must admit it's a crappy site. All the "news" are porn for bluray, pointless youtube videos and girls "playing videogames". Who's actually interested in that stuff when you want modchip and console hacking/modding news???

Ya thats when the site wasn't run by Zeus. Soon after (few months) Zeus took over ( remember he changed the domain name from .com to .net but now has the .com too again). You can almost tell the exact date he took over cause thats when all the commercialization and the pushing of (and editing of any thing anti) divineo started.

Long ago I learned to read between the lines on reviews and filter junk, still would rather not have to but there is not much that can be done (GBAtemp and a few other select (often smaller) sites excepted: guess why I am here). An interesting aside I saw some guy say that the max media dock may not have been the best device for all things DS, hit f5 a few mins later and it was flame city, there are other examples but there we go. In all fairness the people are not stupid and the whole affair seems to have got itself a slow puncture.

However dcemu seems to be a better site (as well as a part time news source for maxconsole) so if you must visit a maxconsole type site and it still carries all the latest emu news (incl all the betas for various high and low profile apps) for both the GBA and DS (I would have not found out about the new HVCA builds or Goomba color betas if it were not for them).

Facing a competition that could very well lose them money they seem to lose even basic cognitive functions in order to come up with a news post to stoop the competition. This time they don't even manage to read the source of their "news".

That's how an open source mod chip layout that comes for free but of course then requires you to get all the parts and estimates an $10 cost for you to build it becomes "The Open Source Wii mod that you have to PAY FOR".

Let alone the fact that "open source" does not equal "free" which is common knowledge that hasn't reached them yet.

The mods there are total hypocrites. In a topic there disccusing which games work with the patcher they've removed all post because they said its 100% illegal to talk about scene group names but they're allowed to post group names on the front page in news posts??? Fking hypocrites!!
