Ok so I applied the hack to the Vita (OLED) and all is fine. The problem is if I upgrade the card (or it fails and I need to replace) I need to go online and run Henkaku again to get molecular shell again. It is a minor hassle but can be a major problem if/when that website ever goes down for any reason. If it did and my memory card broke I would be screwed big time as I would have no way to re install anything without molecular shell and no way to get molecular shell. Is there a way to have that internal to the Vita so no matter what happens to the card I can still run the shell? Or is there any way to have the app backed up somewhere so I can re-install offline?

BTW I only use the Vita for emus and homebrew, I never use a PSN or Sony store account if that makes any difference.

I think I heard only the slim has some internal memory so you maybe out of luck.

If you need a cheap alternative get a sd2vita adapter for a few bucks then pop a sd card in there and you don't have to worry about the vita memory card dying.

Keep a back up of your SD on your computer so if your sd ever died you would just need to transfer the files to the new sd pop it in your sd2vita and problem solved.

u can back it up via sd2vita or usb (3g or normal usb). if u have the tai config.txt in ur0, it should just rebuild the database with molecular shell intact. molecular shell is in the app folder on the root of memory card with this title id: MLCL00001

Thanks. I have the issue now that I want to upgrade memory card size and when I do I lose the molecular shell (as well as everything else, going to be painful and slow to FTP everything back) . So knowing where it is will help in the future if something happens. I assume the Henkaku/Enso crack stay intact even if you change memory cards right?

I don't suppose there is any kind of Vita memory card adapter where you can just read it on a PC to back up then insert new card and write to the new one just like you would do with a regular SD card?

I heard about sd2vita but don't you need to re apply the hack again online for that to work?

it shouldn't matter if u upgrade memory cards. hold, I think R, to reinstall molecular shell whenever you're installing henkaku.

I only install Henkaku once though right? I used the Enso hack to make it permanent so I don't need to hassle with going online every time.

henkaku needs to be installed once, but molecular shell - it gets reinstalled if u hold R. u need a memory card of some sort if using a 1K system though or use the sd2vita method. it boots before sce shell, so the micro sd is read as ux0 - the memory card.

Thanks. Is there some guide somewhere explaining all of these partitions (ux0 etc), what they are for and what you can store in them?
