Installing a 1TB SSD in my PS4 that currently has the latest HEN exploit and fully exploitable FW. Does anyone know if my installed packages will transfer over when I run the back up utility? Or will I need to reinstall them? At the very least the saves should back up and work after I install the new HDD and run the exploit again?

So I tried to back up my saves to my USB but its asking me to connect to the internet, I can't locally back up any of my saves without an internet connection? That's so annoying, if I connect to the internet is that enough or will it try to do a firmware update?

If the console wasn't already activated you are out of luck. Well, more than an internet connection is checking for a registered PSN account...

Having wrote that, if I'm not wrong you can still backup the user profile to an external HD via USB without an activated console (something like: games data + user data - license keys).

That would work perfectly, I'll look into this,.
