Yep that's exactly what I did. I did a w.cpdir on the USen folder to EUen. Then a w.chmod on each and every file to 0x644 - thank god it's a small game with only a few files!

Had a little chuckle to myself at IceCrimber in the process.

LOL. Like it.

Only difference is I did a w.cpdir on a directory by directory process (not sure its recursive) but if you changed all those files and ticked em off the list I can't see any difference. German dude got it working too. Not sure why you can't? Oh and I installed on USB (not that it should make a difference either).

Yeah mine was on USB also. I did notice when I did a w.stat on a number of random files that there was no owner listed on any of the copied files and I also noticed that the mode on the USen files was not 0x644.

I couldn't see a command to change the owner and it's such a tedious process that I don't really want to experiment again, as the chances are that it won't work anyway. We could really do with a script to automatically perform all tasks.

Yep, I noticed that too. But you are right there is no chown or chgrp. I PM'd FIX, not sure if that's something he can add. I saw that on the files it was 0x400 and the grp and own was set to 1628 or something iirc. That's why setting them to 0x644 should work...

... Sorry bud. All I can think of is to delete and start again. After making the changes (copy and file permissions) do you quit the wupclient and then shutdown right after (i.e. turn off the WiiU)? Pull the power, wait a few seconds and then boot back up? Don't pass go, don't collect £200. I noticed sometimes I went back to menu first, booted game, loaded and then after restart, froze again like it didn't save my changes. Only by shutting down directly after my changes and then rebooting did it save them and work. Other than that, I'm out of ideas.

I didn't follow that exact order (£200 for my Top Hat was way too tempting, although I appear to have landed on Income Tax!), however when I did go back into wupclient after I had eventually turned off the console the settings had remained the same. I've not once got it to work as yet, except in Loadiine running the game from SD (which I no longer do).

I'll have to try and find some time and start again. I wish someone would unlock ftp properly so I could use filezilla as it'd be sooooooo much easier!
