Okay, so, after reading through the boards, I found out that a legit copy of SSBB NTSC-U doesn't work if a WiiKey's been installed. Since the Wiikey site's been dead for awhile, do you think there's still hope for some sort of update from the Wiikey team? I bought SSBB and I want it to work dammit. >_<

I really don't want to add a switch to my Wii. T_T

There should be an update eventually but, given their track record, it could be three days or three months. I asked them specifically if there would be an update within the next 48-72 hours and was told it is not likely. I recommend either installing a switch or getting a new chip.

So there's still hope?

Cause I tried to get onto the wiikey site and it's still down, sadly. T_T

Thanks, xiaNaix. I guess I'll wait a week and if there's still no word from wiikey, I'll add a switch. >_

On Wiinewz they recommended you install a switch as they don't have upcoming plans to release an update.

Seems like it was yesterday when i bought the Wiikey, considered the best chip around...

Oh well...

Guys, fill me in.
What's the ultimate awesome modchip for the Wii compatible with d2a boards and most likely future proof?

The thing is I had someone install for me when I bought me Wii a year ago. I don't wanna throw away another $100 just for Brawl considering the fact I just bought the game for $50 too. T_T I guess a switch would be the best alternative, but I really don't want a switch sticking out of my Wii and I don't even know if the guy knows how to install switches. @_@
