Any good software to image/backup my C:\ drive?

something like Norton Ghost but I want to store the backup/image on my D drive and use a bootable disc to recover from it.
Please note that my C drive is NTFS format.
I prefer free software and if not, something thats downloadable via dial up, like less than 20mg is preferred.

I assume "D:\" drive is your CD drive rather than anything else.

Perhaps not quite the same but a copy of bartpe (clocks around 3 megabytes download and is free) can make a disc to boot from and access drive/run stuff.

Couple this with a batch file and a compression app like 7zip (all free) and you have a nicely tailored backup solution/restore/repair kit.

No, actually my D drive is where my files are at (anything beside OS and its dependencies), and I wanted to have my backup of C on root of D (it would be great if it could create incremental backups too) and then boot via a USB flashdrive to a dos mode (a dos-compatible since both of my C and D drives are NTFS) and use a batch file command to restore the backup.

The exact same situation as me ! Try Acronis True Image Home, it's perfect and you can boot on a special BartPE disc to restore your backup (it has the generator for the disc).

Just find a guide on installing BartPE to a flashdrive and you can use DriveImage XML with that.
