Try to monitor his computer or something, have his wife do that, I forgot the website, but I think it's free and you can moniter the computer if it's always connected to a network, which porn is online, unless he downloads it. I forgot what it was called though.. anyone here know it?

LMAO! Parental Control for the Parent. Thanks for all the quick replies. It is a wierd situation...

He is retired military (21 years), so he wakes up at 4am every morning and I guess he gets "bored" while everyone is asleep. They only have a family computer and are about to upgrade, so they want to take precautions as to not have to do a system restore every month.

The old computer is pretty much dead. Lol... it is a 2001 eMachines running Windows ME (the shittiest OS known to man). We tried to install XUbuntu on it, but it failed cuz it was too slow. So I dont think there is any hope for it.

I will make a list of all the suggestions and read into each one.

EDIT: My friend isnt the problem when it comes to the porno, I already told him what sites to use. freeones.net for pics and torrents from porno-rips for videos. So he is set. I use the same system and have no problems. His dad wont take the advice on the two mentioned sites, and the computer usually ends up with pop-ups and adware(?).

The mom is a pretty and caring woman, so I dont think the case is a "lack of". I think guys by nature (myself included) can get laid whenever they want it, and still feel the need to wack it.

A very light install of XP or Windows FLP should work fine on it. For my OpenDNS solution, you don't have to run anything on the computer like regular blockers, so no performance hit.

Install sandboxie (free) and let dad watch all the porn he wants.

Start whatever browser you guys use with sandboxie and you'll never have to worry about screwing up your computer.
It basically 'fakes' the program as its running normally. But it stores everything in a 'cyber' nonexistent folder. So everything will be stored
in the non existent place and once you close the browser all those files disappear as well.
