I know a lot of people have already made a thread about these problems, but they haven't helped me and I'm completely stuck.

I've been using an old version USB Loader GX for years now without problems, so yesterday I wanted to update it so that I could have Nintendont integrated within the loader. I used to have all of my backups stored on a wbfs formatted drive, but to use GC and Wii games on the same drive, I had to format it into fat32 and convert my .iso's to .wbfs
That went with little problems and I installed USB Loader GX with the tabbed mod.
But now when I load some games they just give me a black screen. Some of them work, like Wii Play for instance, but others like Super Mario Galaxy just show a black screen when started and freeze the Wii. Games like Rabbids Go Home get past the Ubisoft logo and then freeze. Mario Part 9 (mind you, all of these games worked flawlessly before.), give me a 'Region Error'. Even though I've been running NTSC games without problems for years.
EDIT: Super Mario Galaxy 2 only gives a green screen for some reason. Even though the .wfbs was tested in Dolphin and ran fine. I don't have problems running physical games at all.

Now my question is, what do I do to fix this? I've already tried a lot, like updating the custom IOS (maybe I've done it wrong though, I don't know how to see which ones are installed), I've tried following tutorials on both YT and gbatemp. Noting works, most of my games still won't load.
Maybe I should add that I did update my RiiConnect24 yesterday as well, right before I updated USB Loader GX. I didn't show much problems though.

I have no idea what to do now, and I have no idea to be any clearer in my explanation.

I hope some of you guys have clear answers, because I'm losing my mind here..

Thanks in advance

There is a support thread pinned at the top of this forum. :/
Like I told you, I didn't have any use of those threads.
(also funny how you replied normally to a similar thread to mine, yesterday, instead of pointing them to the 'support thread')

instead of pointing them to the 'support thread'
pinned at the top of this forum.
isn't this pointing enough?
if not, then top of his forum is located here : https://gbatemp.net/forums/wii-backup-loaders.190/
thread pinned at the top is located here : https://gbatemp.net/threads/usb-loader-gx.149922/

you don't have any use of "those thread" ? at least, you needed USBLoaderGX pinned thread.

as for your problem :
before doing anything, you should know what you currently have. and we need to know too, specifically after following Youtube tutorial which often mess up everything.
you didn't tell us anything about your setup : no version (ok, you said the tabmod, I'll just assume you used the version currently linked in the official thread's first post... that you finally found pinned in this forum?), no cIOS setup, etc.

So, first, follow the syscheck guide in my signature and post a result here. (yes, let's continue in this thread)

second : the error you describe looks a lot like if you enabled emuNAND save option (on purpose or by mistake).
Verify it's correctly set to Disabled or OFF :
Settings > loader's settings > emuNAND Save : disabled
same for individual game's setting, use disabled or "use global".

verify your video setting : should be set to "disc default" (not console's default or any force option)

verify your console's video setting : widescreen, 480p, component cable.

verify your HDD : FAT32 32k/cluster, preferably MBR.

verify your game with WiiBackupManager > game > option > Sha1 (no, dolphin is not enough to verify if an ISO or WBFS file is good, emulators are more bug tolerant than real hardware)

Thank you for your reply. First off, I did not know how to see what kind of cIOS setup I had, so that explains that.
The Syscheck gave me this result:

Report generated on 05/14/2018.

My HDD is formatted as FAT32 although I do not know the cluster size, and USB Loader GX does display the games.

I didn't see a 'emuNand save' option in USB Loader GX, but I did see an 'emulated saves' option which is turned off.
My video settings are correct and had already been set to 'Disc default' (still didn't fix the games)
Keep in mind that I also went ahead an formatted an other USB (which I used with my Wii before) to WFBS with WFBS Manager and even used another USB loader, but my games still didn't work.
I'm still performing that SHA-1 test, but it hasn't given me any errors yet, even with games which don't work on my Wii.
EDIT: Super Paper Mario came out red. I noticed that running the game before in Dolphin didn't work either, so I guess I'll have to find a new .wfbs for that game.

thank you for your syscheck log.
what I can see from it :

IOS199 (rev 65535): Trucha Bug, ES Identify, NAND Access
that's strange, nobody should have a cIOS installed into that slot. it's not following hacking's convention. But, don't touch it. Better keep it than doing something wrong.

IOS249[57] (rev 21008, Info: d2x-v8final): Trucha Bug, NAND Access, USB 2.0
IOS250[56] (rev 21008, Info: d2x-v8final): Trucha Bug, NAND Access, USB 2.0
IOS251[53] (rev 65535, Info: d2x-v8final): Trucha Bug, NAND Access, USB 2.0
your slot249 (default slot used by USBLoaders) is the best.
slot250 can be used as backup, if your game doesn't work with slot249, as it uses a different base (56 instead of 57). It's older, but some game might work better with old things.
Your slot 251 is using a non conventional base, just never use it.

so, be sure your USBLoaderGX setting is correctly set to use slot249 and not 251.
Settings > loader settings > game's IOS : 249

Too bad, I thought your problem was emuNAND (emulated NAND) save option :(

NEVER EVER use WBFS Manager ! that manager is corrupting games on your drive.
Always use WiiBackupManager (even for WBFS partition format, even if FAT32 is recommended and safer).

if the sha1 test are good, then it's a setting problem and we really need to find it.
I suppose you tried to reset all the loader's settings ? or even make a new fresh install (delete all the folder)
did you try USBLoaderGX revision 1268 ? (not the tabmod), just to exclude tabmod from being the culprit.

Some of those other cIOS locations are probably from the guy who softmodded my Wii back in the day (When I couldn't do it my self, because you needed Twilight Princess I believe)
It was set to slot 249 in the loader's settings
The SHA-1 gave me some more errors, for Rabbids Go Home and Wii Party, which do indeed not work.
Still, this does not explain the big red 'Region Error' it gave me with some NTSC games like Wii Play Motion and Mario Party 9 (also, I can't seem to find anything about that error anywhere on the web?)
Redownloading USB Loader GX without the tabbed mod didn't help either. Nor did setting the game slot to 250.

What should I do now?

Try to force NTSC 480p as video mode for these games. (select the game > option > game option > video mode)

Use PAL games on PAL console. These games exist in PAL, no need to play game from another region when available in your region.

Ultimately, you could create a NTSC-U NAND with modmii and use neek2o to play these game.

Other than that, sorry, I don't have more ideas.
maybe someone else could help.

Thank you for your help anyway!
Finding PAL versions of some of these games is troublesome, and ripping a disc isn't an option because, yeah they're backups, and I made them in case my disc gets scratched (which in these cases, it did :P). But I'll try finding and redownloading them.
I did redownload Wii Party and it now works fine, so that's that.

Still don't know why my NTSC games suddenly stopped working. If anybody knows, let me know!
