Hacking Animal Crossing Sleep Mode?

Someone with an R4 and another device, check sleep mode. I though when you close the lid, that the screen turns off and the led blinks? On my r4 on animal crossing the screen turns off but the led stays solid? Is this how it works with the original or another card? Is it really not "sleeping"

LED has always stayed solid on my SC-Lite/EZ4/EZ5/SC-DS/M3 Lite.

Animal crossing doesnt have sleep mode, even on original carts

Since AC is a real-time game in the sense that crap changes as the clock goes while the game is on, the only thing that happens when you close the the DS is the screens and speakers turn off. The game will still run for the sake of being real-time.

Edit: Had to add an 's' at the end of screen. Boy, I love the DS!

In Animal Crossing: Wild World "Sleep Mood" will NOT cause the game to pause only the screen will turn off but the game still runs like normal. The original game also does that and in fact its only one of the many games that does that.
