I heard that the recommended is to avoid updating FW unless its necessary. Not sure why though, I think its more about waiting a bit to make sure theres no problem with atmosphere working with the new update. But I think I'll do it.

Its not a good idea to update as soon as possible, but first wait for atmos update and then update de fw.
I messed up my terrain as I was trying to even out space for a bridge.. but I'm not really sure what I'm doing so when I'm in game, the edges are missing the bottom half of the terrain (the dirt part) but the top layer, the grass, is fine.
I was messing with it in NHSE and I think I got the idea of using the terrain brush to just "brush" on corners? Is there an easier way to see this in game since I'm using an emulator and mods as well which makes my game take 26 minutes to start up...

Whenever I get a new mail in my mailbox, 299 copies of that mail get delivered, all of them lacking a background image, so it's just floating text on a transparent background. If an item was sent in with the letter, 299 copies of the item will be delivered as well, but they won't go into my inventory once taken. When I leave my mailbox, all the 299 copies get deleted.
This bug has made it impossible for me to get stuff from the Point Redeeming Machine or other sources, as only the last mail sent to my mailbox will make it in and create copies. I already formatted the SD Card, replaced the NSP, updated the game, and the bug persists.

I haven't played in a while since I really only play with my nephew and he lost interest a little while back, but he was excited for this update! (me too to be honest!)
So I updated everything (frustrating going from firmware 10.1 to 13.1) but in the end, I got everything working for us on 2 soft-modded Switches.
- Switch Firmware 13.1.0
- Atmosphere 1.2.3
- Edizon SE 3.8.24
- Tesla 1.0.6
Here are my working player 3 and 4 (only ones tested) along with players 1 - 5 versions as well.
I haven't tested any more aside from the player 3 one which was tested for everything and player 4 was just tested for the duplicate 1-10, but they ALL should work unless I messed up a copy/paste. If so, sorry.
My Duplicate Slot1 - Slot 10 and Slot 1 - Slot 20 are hacky but they work.
I ran out of patience when trying to figure out what was going on trying to get them to work and I just wanted to start playing with the kid.
The Slot 1-40 code is SkyQueen's (adjusted for the other positions) and it's the only one I never tried.
Sorry, but I keep slots 21-40 full all the time with 'necessities' and don't want to overwrite them to test.
Anyway...

Hey thanks for this, but I cant seem to figure out how modding an item works.
I assumed all I had to do was enter a number, and press ZR+Left Dpad to change the color/variant/quantity of an item but for whatever reason it will not change. I can spawn items just not change the variant. Any advice? Thanks in advance.
if you have a backup from way before this bug started happening, go into your Villager0 folder and grab the postbox.dat and postboxHeader.dat files and copy them over to a current save.
it has to be YOUR postbox and postboxHeader and not anyone else's or the game will freak out and say you have corrupted data.
if for some reason you no longer have a backup, start a new island. As a precaution, name it the same character and town name. grab the files from THAT save file and use it on your old island save. then restore the old island save.
your mailbox might be empty, but it should fix the weird bug thing.
if it doesn't, I got nothing else. Good luck player.

First, Game was crashing when I loaded acnh off cart. The solve I found on the good ol' interweb was to delete the game file out of atmosphere folder. Did that works fine... but NOW... I have nowhere to put cheats, so naturally Edizon does not work. Any suggestions on that?
Second, I am looking for a way to display wall and ceiling items outside, like on the display stands in Nook's. Can't seem to figure it out in NHSE.
I truly appreciate anyone who can help with either of these issues. Truly. Thank you so much!!

For cheats i like mobile spawner or nhse, poker also works.

I think you need to decorate x quantity if houses
you have to force learn in NHSE. I have no issues after I edited my save with NHSE. need to learn all diys via NHSE.
