Android Android Market "10 Billion Promo"

If you check on the Android Market from today for 10 days, there are a slew of premium apps on sale for only 10 pence (or 10 cents; prices may differ in other regions).

Just a heads up.

(For UK users, at least, it may add a VAT charge of up to 3 pence to some purchases.)

Even though I already pirated have Minecraft Pocket, I'd be more than glad to have an official legal version.

Is there any way to buy apps that aren't compatible with my device? My current phone doesn't support MCPE Alpha, and will never support Asphalt 6, but it'd be nice to be able to have them for when I do get a new phone.

20% tax? That seems really high.

VAT (Value Added Tax - tax added to every "luxury" good) in the UK is 20%. It went up at the start of 2011 (it was 17.5% before that).

This is great, even for people that pirate their applications. (Myself included) Or at least pirates with access to a credit card.
Now, they don't have to worry about manually finding updated .apk files everytime an app is updated. Very nice.
I picked up Swiftkey X, Beautiful Widgets, and Fruit Ninja. Can't wait to see what else will be available.
