Hacking analog on PSPdisp

If I use my PSP as a controller on PSPdisp can I go more than 8 directions (registering 360 degrees) or do I have to just live with going 8 directions in games.

I guessed I can't. I found out the psp just acts as the keyboard. I can't use my psp as a joypad when using PSPdisp. Maybe in another update it will allow me to do that.
