Amazon pulls 3DS from sale‎

The US arm of online retailer Amazon has suspended sales of Nintendo’s new handheld the 3DS.

“While this item is available from other marketplace sellers on this page, it is not currently offered by Amazon.com because customers have told us there may be something wrong with our inventory of the item, the way we are shipping it, or the way it's described here.

“We’re working to fix the problem as quickly as possible.”

Examiner speculates that the move may be connected to an alleged screen-scratching issue, where some users have reported marks being left on the machine’s upper screen.

The site also claims newer shipments of the 3DS boast slightly longer rubber feet to protect against the issue, though there is no official confirmation of this.[/p]

My screen is scratched even though I barely use the 3DS lol. Its here in the protectice case moving around from place to place, but never getting out of the case

it is about bloody time they did something about this stupid problem.
This and this alone, is the only reason I do not still have a 3DS.
My screen scratched itself after just a week. After two weeks it became too much and I took it back to ASDA for a full refund as nintendo told me they were going to charge me £50 to repair it.

Same thought, and I was gonna switch on my "3DS troll mode" lol.

Anyway, I dont think its because of the scratching issues. many people are mis-informed about the 3DS.
A lot of people complain that they dont see any 3D effect, others complaning about sweetspot, headache etc etc.

Well, they would need to redisign the model for the scratch issue to get solved, IF thats the reason why its being taken down..

A lot of issues are discovered after mass production.
The iPhone 4's antena issue for example.

They could easily fix the issue, but will they do it? lets see if they do it, before another 3DS revision.

i thought they copied the design from the dsl/i so why would it cause scratches now?
i bet most of the ppl misunderstood the topic and hence came here.

the shop owners seem to be kind enough to accept the device back for headaches or not seeing the 3d effect as far as i see it.

ppl only accept stuff back here if it does not do what it should do like not displaying the 3d effect at all and not that i could not see the 3d effect myself.

The top screen is larger now allowing it to be scratched by the bottom.
