Hi,
I'm a happy wii user with an well running system, but paranoid as I am, I wanted to be sure. So this is what I did:
I ran syscheck 1.6.2 (I think) and while checking the IOS, it crashed into the bootmii screen (never had that before, and it caused the first small sweat beads on my forehead). Found out, that I have to use an updated version (Now syscheck HDE 2.4)

That one did run fine BUT I accidentally clicked on upload report, and now my report is somewhere in the ether (causing more sweat beads)... Do I have to fear something now?

Anyways the report looks fine, except for the System Menu which is on 4.1E when I always thought I was on 4.3E! Don't know why that is. The only relevant things I think I did was installing Castlevania ReBirth with YAWMM De (rev4) and running Riivolution which supposedly does something with IOS37.

All and all, everything works (USB Loader GX, Nintendont), all games start so I probably shouldn't touch anything more, but - as noted above - I'm a bit on the paranoid side. Can somebody maybe soothe me? ;)

Hello.:)

That one did run fine BUT I accidentally clicked on upload report, and now my report is somewhere in the ether (causing more sweat beads)... Do I have to fear something now?

Who knows....

Your Homebrew Channel CAN be updated.....but if all runs perfectly as you said, please let it be.:)

All and all, everything works (USB Loader GX, Nintendont), all games start so I probably shouldn't touch anything more,

A very wise Choice.:)

Thank you and
have Fun with your Wii.:yaywii:

Aargh!! :wacko::rofl2:

Anyways, thanks for your reply! I will leave my system alone as it is. But do you have any idea, where that system menu 4.1e might have come from? I'm pretty sure I was on 4.3 some time earlier (and Riivolution needs 4.2 or 4.3, doesn't it?)

Cheers!
Rule of thumb:
If it works, don't try to fix it.

Wii hacking has been stable for quite awhile, and if nothing is wrong with your system, no need to mess with it.

If you really want to update your system, remove all hacks (re-virginize your system), and run ModMii on it to get it updated to 4.3 with all up to date hacks.

Whew, that sounds bad! There is no easier way to get back SM 4.3?

Right now I can't test Riivolution (if it works with SM 4.1e), because the games I ordered for Riivolution (Earth Seeker / Ikenie no Yoru) have long journeys ahead of them before I can try them.

I will report back, in about a month! ;)
