Hacking After some info to aid chipping my xbox360 and flashing the dvd drive.

If anyone can help and give me a process order to flash my dvd drive and mod my xbox I can research the parts I need to do my self.

I have a

slim Trinity xbox
Philips & liteon DG-16D4S, FW: 0225, HW:A0A0
Dashboard: not sure till I get home, probably 2 or 3 from the current one, has tiles.

Slim proto v2 chip
Slim post QSB v3
Team xecuter replacement pcb v1.1 for the dvd drive,

NANDX rgh edition
X360usb pro v2

And some other stuff I'm getting together to mod a different xbox if this one goes OK.

I've read to get my drive key? From the dvd drive I must RGH my xbox, so would this be the order I take... Bare in mind the slim proto 2 comes pre flashed so I won't need NANDX or Jr runner 2.

- Open up the xbox.
- Fit the mod chip.
- Extract the drive key for the dvd drive.
- Swap out the drives pcb with the team executer one and flash my drive key back into it.
- install custom dash etc...

I understand with the cr4xl I have coming for the 2nd xbox will have to be programmed with my nandx, also do you have to make a Nand backup or anything like I would a 3ds?

Any pointers would really help out.
I work in the electronics industry so soldering and rework isn't a problem.

My goal is to play my backups from an internal or external hard drive and have a custom dash, this will be for offline only.

flashing drives isn't needed for RGH, unless you want to play from backupped discs.
I also advice to upgrade the internal HDD, it's quicker then external.

You indeed need a CR4 XL and a NAND-X to hack it.
The fake POST_OUT from TX is needed if yer 360 is a Corona.

First thing you'll need to do is dump the NAND.
Inject the XeLL NAND made by JRunner.
Then install the CR4 and fake POST_OUT.
Boot it, obtain the CPU key.
Make a hacked NAND and flash it back.

Then you can follow me tut on installing FSD

yes but i have it sat heree doing nothing and this is my first time modding a 360 so its all a bit of a practice run.

Good luck with it, using JRunner and some install diagrams from the TX site, it's pretty easy to do.

so i installed all the qsb's and chip, dumped my nand, only problem is i cant get j runner to see or download my dash, i have the option marked in options to alow downloads but it just wont see the dash for me to add?

does anyone have any ideas?

Have you written XeLL to yer NAND?
It's required before obtaining the CPU key to decrypt the NAND and build a hacked one.

slim post qsb, nand-x qsb, liteon replacment pcb and the slim proto chip installed and it pretty much boots first time around.

I'd highly suggest yanking up the fan, 70c for the CPU is hot.

That's what i was about to say, CPU is way too hot, as well as GPU, its too hot as well. Those should never be that high at idle

75% ish.
Try to keep the temps at least below the 60's
It be a bit noisier but yer console will last longer.
Even tho Slims (and Falcons/Jaspers) don't RROD as much, it still is a wise idea.
