Small question to SALT team, why don't you release anything?
I can understand when people are anti-piracy and so on, I respect that point of view. But if I'm not telling something wrong, the access to 10.3 CFW (sysnand or emunand) or even just the 9.6+ keys won't change anything to piracy. People can already download and install CIA that are firm spoof/cryptofixed and that just work on every CFW. In fact, the main change that would occur is that it would allow people who buy retail cards to play their 9.6+ games on a n3DS running CFW.
(No offense here, if you do that for the challenge and to show that yes, it's something that is possible, I also respect that )

GW is realistically our only hope. But hey, who says that they don't have it, maybe they're holding onto it until it's absolutely needed since most of the CFW'S will rip their work off anyway. But all in all, F "leet" devism. Also, potatoes.

I think that Gateway will work the easy way this time, just ripping what other devs did and use the downgrade. Easier for them, same thing when they purposed the autoboot using Menuhax and their GW.3DSX.
Maybe they'll do it otherwise but it would really be a surprise.

You realize that without gateway we wouln't have all those sweet cfws today right ?
Same about the leaked cfws, it was a shitty move but the devs began to release after that.

EDIT: don't get me wrong, gateway sure leech other devs work but at least they were the first to provide with emunand and 9.2 kexploit.

That's why I wrote "this time". Obviously, the main part of the 3DS hack and all that stuff starts mainly with GW.

The thing is, people are not positive about leaking the keys. No one wants to get sued

Rei already said they might release it tomorrow if they get up at a reasonable time (something along those lines, forget the exact wording, go look at the reinand thread).

The only thing left are bootroms, but most of those keys have been burned up for NCCH crypto and the like already, so I doubt there's much to see there.

Plus Nintendo can't change the bootROM keys, once they are set they are set, and anyone with ARM9 can use them.

OTP can't be dumped. Those registers (or whatever they are) are locked down before arm9 even loads. And if I understand correctly, the OTP would be a per-console thing... no?
