As for me..not worth it, PS3 is so brilliant to play online and the games are worth buying i wouldn't want to be restricted from all the extras you buy the PS3 for!

not only is it obvious that you are desperately trying to shift stock of psjailbreak before the free alternative is released but your gt5 examples is stupid

why would you upgrade, buy gt5, then downgrade?

once you downgrade, gt5 goes back to being unplayable

with the downgrader, cant you downgrade then upgrade to play gt5 again and go back and forth between 3.5 and below

Upgrade when you want to play online and later official games (that aren't working with the jailbreak yet), then downgrade when you want to play some homebrew.

It's not like the process takes more than a few minutes.

but i thought when u went back to 3.5 the firmware no longer sees the usb port and renders the port useless so u cant use it more than once. someone just tell me if i go buy a new ps3 , is it at 3.5 firmware or do the games have the 3.5 firmware updates. does the downgrade allow you to go back and forth as many times as u want

What do you mean renders it useless and can only use it once? There are a lot of reasons that people use the USB ports (media, controllers, mics, guitars, etc), I doubt sony would disable them...

sorry i was just told by a friend who hacks that 3.5 closed the hole in the usb port for the jailbreak to be recognized so if you then update to 3.5 , how would the downgrader work or shall i say be recognized. what i am wondering is are all new ps3's shipping w/ 3.5 firmware ,because if they are, and you try to use the downgrader to downgrade, u r already at 3.5 so does this downgrader have the 3.41 firmware on it. i just got back from wlmt and they had some 320 gig move bundles mfg date 9-21, would these be safe or would they be at 3.5 already
