I see... I'm using the Uwuvci inject option "add layout" which tell us that it takes layout from https://gbatemp...etc your thread url. So I thought you choose to use these transparent borders. And I wanted to use between this layout and the one with the little touche screen and big top screen which has less border than the official one so he touch screen can be bigger.
Nope, I had nothing to do with any border tampering with adding these layouts. Maybe it's something else in Uwuvci? I dunno. You may be out of luck on this one.

Ok so I resized the screen to match with the OG config file size of this particular layout which is slightly smaller... and now i think I see what is about. Isn't this supposed to be "tvback" and "drcback" as image ressources ? ^^

I have no idea, but I can tell you I never messed with anything labeled tvback or drcback. I honestly can't help you with this issue. (Though if I'm being honest, I dont even see why it bothers you anyway, I'd personally label it a nonissue)

It works perfectly except that none of the new descriptions appear to work properly? It simply returns #NO_TEXT# on any description not originally in the files. What's going on here?

Strings.json is the file in question, without the file directory in front of me, I can't tell you where exactly to go, but you need to move out from the us_en folder to the folder that is appropriate for your region and language.
I have the same “No text” problem in all the added designs. Although they exist in the strings.json file, there are no complete references regarding the alignment of their text because only those from the 10 original designs are there. I hope that with this, everything can now be read completely (I haven't tested it because I have the console disconnected and I have to patch about thirty injected games).

Again, that issue will appear if you have a non US Wii U, and you just need to move the strings file to your appropriate region's folder instead of the us_en folder. The default files I provide are for the US Wii U and the text will appear correctly for them, other regions just need to move the file and it will then read correctly for them too.

Yeah, but where's the inject? I can do this for base eShop games just fine, but injects obviously don't have the same title ID. I have no clue where those end up.
Boot up the homebrew app: SaveMii Mod, it will show you the title IDs of everything you've installed to your Wii U.

Is it possible to create a hybrid layout? I've been attempting to make one work all day, but admittedly have no idea what I'm doing and can't figure out how to make a screen appear more than once.

The format of the config file is explained here: https://gbatemp.net/threads/wii-u-ds-vc-custom-layouts.427284/, so you can include a DS screen in both the TV and DRC (GamePad) sections.

Or do you want to have one screen shown 2x on a single screen? I imagine you could just have two ‘source: upper’ entries within the TV section. But i) why?, and ii) I’m not going to test this for you (but please report back if you try it out!).

Yes, I want to have the lower screen shown twice for the DS Zelda titles (for recording purposes). Adding the source twice was the first thing I tried, but depending on how I put it in, it would either ignore one of the sources, or force full-screen on both the TV and Gamepad (upper for TV, lower for gamepad). I figured maybe something would have to be altered in one of the other files, but I genuinely have no idea what, where, or if that's even possible.
