Adam Sessler Departs G4

Always found it odd how AOTS could never keep its host for more than a week.

Morgan Webb with random co-hosts isn't enough to keep X-Play alive.

I personally find Adam Sessler was the voice of X-Play ever since the first time I watched G4.

I haven't watched X-Play since the last 2 years due to me losing G4 TV network but oh wellz.

Hopefully I'll watch some more things with Adam in acting as himself instead of just appearing on "noobz"

I've watched Adam Sessler ever since he was on Extended Play on TechTV. I liked him back then. And i still kind of do, he can be a funny guy and CAN have good opinions. It's Morgan Webb that i detest. Though the entire show has long since become a complete joke (as is the channel it's on).

So regardless, i hope he does well in the future.

i will still watch with because of morgan, but she will be hard pressed to carry the show herself.

i really don't understand the vitriol for g4 (aots and xplay in particular). outside of a few annoying people (blair herter and that british broad), they are funny and entertaining.

my wife is gonna be pissed, she really likes sessler and morgan, she's a little put off now with aots since olivia left though. she may be bailing on them outside of ninja warrior.

well at least the switch to dish got us HD amc, cooking channel and bbc america.

AOTS is pretty much 90% fluff, 10% actual content. Xplay is just a shell of what it once was. Back before it was called Xplay, it was called Extended Play. Back then Adam could pretty much be blunt and to the point, and be pretty much unbiased about everything. You can see that the execs pretty much told him to tone it down and stop giving such harsh reviews. Also he, in recent years has been overly biased against Nintendo. Don't know if that's actually him, or if it's just the execs telling him what to say again...

Dammit, sucks that i was out of town and missed it.

Either way, AOTS is the only reason i even watch G4 anymore. If Kevin Pereira leaves, i'm done with the channel. I miss when they actually aired gaming stuff like Cinematech and such. Now its just Cheaters, Cops, AOTS, and X-Play, and crappy Marvel anime.

Only time i like watching is for the convention coverage

Even back before Extended Play it was Gamespot TV, perhaps the only decent thing named Gamespot ever. And Adam was still there even back then on ZDTV (before they changed the name to TechTV).

As for the vitriol, well, see there was this awesome channel called TechTV that everyone loved all sorts of tech news, call in shows for help with your computer, more advanced shows covering computers in depth, etc, then it got swallowed by G4 and became a load of fluff and garbage and reruns of Cops.

Nothing of value was lost. Sessler is the epitome of casual gamer, not to mention he was a whiny bitch on screen. I am surprised they didn't fire him years ago just for being a colossal douche on TV.

I remember his Super Mario Sunshine review. The final score was, “It’s a Mario game, go out and buy it".We went from that to Webb saying Mario’s (SMG2 IIRC) graphics are too kiddy, despite her loving WoW and the graphics that has.

Adam was the best thing on g4, and now he is gone. That means G4 really only has AotS, which is meh. The rest of it is filler. I can’t see them lasting long with Cops/Cheaters, and the other crap that they show either.

Back then, X-play had new episodes during the week days, now they pump out new episodes like 3 times a month (exaggeration, but still).

I remember when x-play used to be funny. I recently watched this old review of Final fantasy X-2 and they gave it a debatable 4 out of 5, they then proceeded to get a male Yuna Cosplayer to spank Adam XD, those were good times.

The good old days of G4 are gone now... that all the old stars have left except Morgan Webb and maybe Kevin Pererra. (Dunno how to spell his name.) I also haven't seen Kristen Holt in awhile and I was sad when Layla Kayleigh left. I miss the Feed with her. I guess R.I.P. G4...
