Gaming ACNH save injection?

so, i’m in a bit of a dilemma.

my friend wants me to landscape his animal crossing: new horizons island for him because i did well on my island’s terraformation. however, since we are quarantined on opposite sides of our town i can’t just borrow his switch to do it. acnh islands don’t have a cloud save option so i can’t sign in on his nintendo account & do it either. the plan i currently have is copying & injecting his save into my console from his (and backing up my save first of course) then after i have finished working i’d copy & inject the save back into his console.

does any know if this will work, or will it give me an online ban for tampering with saves? i used to hack towns in new leaf, but i’ve decided not to use homebrew or cfw on my switch. my 3ds was banned from online from my hacking so i’m extra cautious now, especially since my switch is the new horizons special. he’s offered me the game cards for super mario odyssey and fire emblem warriors in exchange for town renovation so i really hope this works.

I believe the only way to backup/replace saves on AC currently is by using JKSV, a homebrew application. So you will need CFW.
Nintendo is just making extra sure you can't "cheat" in this game whatsoever.

i remember seeing somewhere that installing CFW is an instant, unfixable online ban is this true? ive worked with JKSV on my 3ds in the past so i know how to use it, but i want to be able to play online.

Not instantly. But probably eventually.
But it is advised to keep your System offline with cfw (preferably a emunand, with 90dns, or even better incognito removed user/systemdata)

There is no telling for sure. We don't know what/when/how Nintendo checks for, exactly, when issuing a ban. Making a NAND backup before starting the hacking process and playing on emuNAND are your best bets.

Have you done it? I have my hacked switch and im thinking on buying the game and move my saved game to my other original switch with checkpoint. Would that cause any type of banning?
