Wow great job and thank you for sharing and the work you put into making the BCAT.

Edit: Nvm on title screen, it doesnt say "1.8.0a". Oh well... time to wait some more.
You have to wait 1st of March, or use homebrew SwitchTime to do so

For previous events, I just simply changed the date via switch settings and they all worked perfectly.
I got the mario wallpaper in mailbox but with date changed to March 1, no mario stuff in shop.

To be extra sure, when is the "a" suppose to appear? Exactly on March 1st? Or immediately after installing 1.8.0 update and playing game before March 1st?

Every "BCAT" event require a real date. By real I mean, certified by a NTP Server.
You have to use "SwitchTime" to force the Date. (Switch setting doesn't work with BCAT event), this homebrew "fake" the Synced date and your switch believe that this is a certified date, and BCAT is enabled.

If not, ACNH just suppose that you make a simple "Time Travel" flag your game as "TT player" only

the "a" is supposed to be enabled on 1st March 5am.

Weird... Since After game's official release, Ive never had the need to use the NRO for all the events... until now.
Today is the first time ive ever had to use Switch-time for the AC events.
But i got the nro working and now I have 1.8.0a
I wonder why the previous events activated, but not 1.8.0a...

I think it all depends when you had last synced with the internet for the time.

My switch was thinking the internet time was Feb 14, today. This would be regardless what date and time I tell it. So I used SwitchTime to fastforward the clock to March 1st.

I don't know why my internet clock was thrown off by 10+ days. Last time I synced was during December for Toy Day.

Regardless, I'm now zipping all over my island, warp-style. I wish they would have a mechanic that you could press a certain direction on the stick while warping to indicate which pipe to warp to, instead of "random".

Has anybody been having issues updating to 1.8.0a? I've updated to 1.8.0 and the injected BCAT 1.8.0a (https://github.com/agronomru/ACNH-BCATs/releases/tag/1.8.0a). Today (March 1st) should be the day it activates, but I'm still stuck on 1.8.0. Followed the BCAT guide and everything. This is not my first time doing it either.

Tried going back one day, starting up AH, exiting after reaching the start screen. Changed back to present time, started it up again, and still on 1.8.0. First time I'm getting this issue as I've been able to successfully activate the past events.

Not sure what I'm doing wrong here.... unless the BCAT files are bad? It's straight from the main source.

Update: Looks like the BCAT I downloaded wasn't a good one for some reason. I downloaded it from the google drive link posted by Alree a few posts up instead. That worked for me.

Has someone else the same problem?
Because latest BCATs 1.6-1.8 are literally from here. It worked on all Switches that I have activated and nobody has complained so far.

No the files work fine. Tested them myself yesterday. Make sure you follow each step to the letter:

https://gbatemp.net/threads/noob-friendly-guide-ac-nh-easter-event-manual-unlock.561530/

A general rule for everyone out there having issues and are sure they imported the BCAT files correctly:
1) Make sure your switch time is set to sync with the servers. Even if you don't have it connected.
2) Make sure your switch time is at a moment when the event takes place!!! TRIPLE CHECK THIS!!!
3) If needed use "switchtime" homebrew app to set the time and fake it as being synced with the Nintendo servers.
=> Read the whole guide for detailed instructions.

Does anyone know if BCAT forging will work for me on a banned switch?

I remember trying earlier for the Toy Day update (1.6.0c) but I couldn't get it working. Made my girlfriend sad :(

edit: nevermind it seems to work this time! menu says 1.8.0a

Well it has always worked banned or not banned. So you did something wrong back then...

Hello . And thanks !

do you have to install both ACNH 1.9.0a BCAT and ACNH 1.9.0b BCAT one behind the other? or is only ACNH 1.9.0b BCAT enough? and set the appropriate time?

1.9.0a only enable Eggs on tree.. "Pre Easter" script.. and no "Bunny Day" (4th April will be a normal Sunday)
1.9.0b BCAT enable "Pre Easter" script AND "Bunny Day" (BCAT 1.9.0B contain all previous BCAT)
