Hey guys, I'm new to this board and new to using flash carts on my DSi. I updated my system to 1.4.4 a few weeks ago without really thinking about it while setting up my wifi. I ordered an Acekard2i a few days ago and immediately felt like an idiot when I saw that there was no update for the 1.4.4 firmware, a big rookie mistake as I've found out. I got my flash cart yesterday and put the AKAIO 1.8.9 software on the msd. When I booted up my DSi the icon shown was Chronicles of Narnia. It would give me an error message when I selected it.
Today I saw that Acekard released the 1.4.4 firmware update. I put the contents of the update onto my msd and it still gave me the same error. Then I re-formatted my msd using the tool Acekard suggested and tried again. I placed the .nds file onto the msd root and followed the readme.txt but I'm still getting the same error with chronicles of narnia icon.

The noob's guide to setting up your card sticked at the top of the forum doesn't seem to work. I feel pretty silly for not doing my research with the update before trying to use the cart :( . If anyone has any advice it would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

you need a DS/DSi that the card works on (no error) to apply the update file. You press the "A" button while highlighting the file (run it like it was a game).

Ah so I need an older DS to update the cart to 1.44. Guess I gotta borrow someone else's DS real quick!

Thanks for the fast response guys! :yay:
