AKAIO because its a cooler name. jk Game compatibility on AKAIO is better than the official ten fold. Its cheat engine is more stable and has the ability to do homebrew softreset and other countless features. If you are updating from the official firmware to AKAIO the I suggest changing all of you saves into *.sav format which can be done with a one-by-one rename or you can use this application to rename them all at once. Drag it to the root of your MicroSD and after a couple of seconds you should be prompted with ability to change extensions from *.nds.sav to *.sav. I believe it was option 4.
