Hacking Acekard or DSTT

My DSTT contacts were worn out and doesen't work on my ds anymorean I was going to get a new flashcard from shoptemp.
But the problem is I don't know which one to get because pong and retro update the game fixes frequently for the dstt and the acekard has also gets updated too.

I would definitely say Acekard 2i, most people would if they had the choice between AKAIO and YSMenu.

I'd get the Acekard as I think the GUI is much better. I'm sure both carts will be updated until the DS releases dwindle, as the 3DS isn't far off.

You say DSTT rather than DSTTi, if you have a DS Lite have considered a 1:1 R4 with Wood? if you only use MicroSD cards upto 2GB they are a bargin.

I went with, and would recommend the DSTT, but a lot of people will recommend the Acekard. The DSTT has better build quality, but the default UI isn't as robust (you could run alternative UI's, like R4DS menu, dsision2, moonshell, ysmenu etc though.) Before you buy a new card though, have you tried cleaning the contacts, or are they just physically worn down? If the former, try a pencil eraser, if the latter, try a paper shim.

True enough, Acekard 2i is better than DSTTi, R4DS with wood is better than DSTT.
The AK2i is a little pricier but it's worth it I think.

My DSTT contacts are a broken and most of the contacts is worn out and not recognised by my ds lite

I think I would purchase the acekard 2.1 since its the same price of the DSTT and still has regular game fixes

DSTT cart is the preferred one "if" you play japanese titles... just my opinion (is there any japanese game titles that aint working on DSTT?)

other than that.. get EDGE else DSTWO

AceKard is not bad.. but the updates breaks the compatibility of some games. Like the one game is used to work on older kernel and suddenly a new kernel is out and its now not working.. the common problem is AceKard imo.

DSTT. Stay loyal to your cart. I would've, but I ended up breaking in the 1.4 update and cannot fix it

. Now have SCDS2. But yeah, DSTT all the way

Agreed, but still, there's nothing that guarantees they won't stop updating later on.
