Hacking Acekard 2i stopped working

I bought my Acekard more than six months ago and everything has been playing perfectly. I'm running 1.4.1U on the XL and I believe I have the correct firmware on the card itself (Alex Rider). All of a sudden today I had a contact issue and the DS froze. Now anytime I try to run the card on the main DS screen it goes to the black "error" screen. I've seen topics about people having firmware problems, but I do not think that's my issue. Any suggestions on where I go from here would be grealty appreciated.

Add a slip of paper under the contacts and re-flash the 1.4.1 update using a DS/DSlite.
