Hacking Acekard 2i issues with DSi

Mine has an i by the 2 on the welcome screen.

yeah it looks like some of the early ak2i's were actually just the ak2's with the different sticker on it.
I have already contacted the reseller and they said that they would replace it with one that is actually a ak2i

because often times the retailer orders from a wholesale outlet, they simply ship the kits and stickers. some just don't see the point in taking the time to put on the stickers for you. so mistakes happen.

nah, like another world said mistakes happen and I was also a Very early adopter of the cards too
so no Im not angry at them just at tat it doesn't work right now but I have already contacted them
and they said that they would test and send me a new one so its all good just have to wait a little
while longer to be able to use it all out.

I have run into the same problem. My brand new DSi shows 1.03U and I have not upgraded my firmware. I ran my r4i for a day then the same error message came up after recognizing the card. Now I am trying the Ak2i card. Same problem. How did you guys sort out this problem?

Also I am not sure what are the folders that I need to save on the Micro SD and where do the games go. In R4i, I know there needs to be 4 folders: Games (load the games in this folder), Moonshl2, r4iMenu and R4.dat. I tried to download the folders but couldn't. I get a bunch of zipped folders. Should I copy them onto the SD card?

I am really desperate now as my son is really looking forward to playing some games and I am stuck with this issue.

you have to unzip the zip.files with winrar and do you need help with your r4i or ak2i

With my card it turned out that the AK2i that I had purchased was not in fact a 2i it was just the 2.1 with a 2i sticker on it, so I contacted the reseller and sent it off to them to get a new one.
My reseller was really good about it cause I think they had many of them like that plus I was an early adopter of the card so it could also have been a problem from the factory.
My best suggestion would be to contact who you bought it from and see if they will do anything about it if not you are unfortunately stuck with a non working card for the dsi.

Edit: ohh and make sure you DO NOT update your DSi to the newest firmware yet because if you do you are going to be stuck again with a non working card because you need to update the acekard to the latest card update that turns the loading icon into danny phantom (a quick search on this site should find that file) and you should be all set to update after that.
