Hacking Acekard 2 ?

I just ordered the acekard 2. IS the Acekard 2 any good ?

Well, you'll be happy to hear that it's very good.....It had some batches with high failure rate before, but people reported that it's been fixed..

It's a very good cart with great GUI, very good choice, lots of people here prefer this cart, and name it as their first choice in flashcarts..

The one I got from DX this July stopped working after two weeks or so. It was good while it lasted though.

Actually, you should have mailed DX, and they would replace it, they did that many times....
They even replace other stuff, and AceKard 2 was known for bad batches that die after few weeks of working..

I don't have it anymore....I gave it as an present to my friend..

It is SDHC compatible, and while I used it, I had 4 GB SanDisk Class2 (the slowest you can get)..and I had no problems with it..

I'm now using CycloDS and M3 Real..

The AceKard 2 is a good budget flash card. However if you put AKAIO onto the card it becomes a GREAT budget flash card. So once you get your AK make sure you check out the AceKard subforum and put AKAIO on it. It will add features not yet seen on any other card, including the CylcoDS.

It is indeed a great cart, waiting on another as i had another FAT Error... hopefully the next is OK

But, i also have an R4-III in my 3yo son's lite... as far as i can see it functions the same as an R4, with the exception of the 4gb msd card in it and the updated firmware (v3.03 2008-9-11)... I wouldn't say this was a bad choice, just not a feature rich as the Acekard2. But my Acekard RPG top them both

I also like my wife's Edge card, bummer the Acekard2 is the only one to give me hassle...
