Hacking Acekard 2.1 Cheat problems

Hey well I downloaded a couple of games to my Acekard and figured I might as well try out some cheats. So I followed the sticky, and dl'd the Cheats.dat and the Cheats.xml files and copied them into the a21/cheats folder of the firmware. Then I booted it up, pressed "X" on Pokemon Platinum and tried to select a couple of the cheats, one of them being the wild pokemon modifier. Then when I started playing I noticed that basically nothing happened, and that the cheats weren't actually enabled (I tried using the modifier cheat with the calc and it wasn't working).

Was/Is there something stupid I missed? Sorry for the noob question.

try use AKAIO as your firmware

it is so much better if you intend to use cheat
