Homebrew Accessing My USB External Hard Drive

OK, I am, able to mod my WiiU with Homebrew, but now I have added an eternal hard drive to my WiiU.It has its own power supply. When I plugged it in, thew Wii U formatted it. I know that I cannot use it for anything else as it is a proprietary partition.

The question is:
How do I put wad wad files on it so that can be accessed via the wad manager?

I know about the FTPii app, but it only sees the SD card.

If it was not a WiiU only partition, I could copy the files onto the drive from my computer.

Is there an program for Windows that will see a Wii U formatted drive?

Ideas?

Nothing (on PC or vWii) can mess with a Wii U-formatted drive.

Now that this drive is useless on any other device, since it is formatted for the Wii U, how do I put files on it? How do I tell the Wii U to save eShop games to it instead of the internal memory? What's the point of a large hard drive if it can't do this?

Is there a reason I should not just go back to my Wii and use the hard drive there? It was working fine that way.

You can use System Settings/Data Managment to move stuff over to the USB, as well as having games install onto it. I don't remember how to get the eShop to do this, but I know WUP Installer has a dedicated button for it.

Yes, but one it's installed you can take it off the sd card again. It's a temporary storage location.

You fill up your internal memory to get the eShop to install to USB.

If the game won't fit on the sysNAND, the eShop automatically installs to USB. If there is actually a setting or something to do it automatically though, I haven't seen it yet.

Press the X button, select the games you want to copy with the A button, and then you press either X or Y, depending if you want to copy or move the game. I always recommend you use copy and then delete the original after you made sure it copied correctly, because if you use move and the move fails, it will delete the destination files AND the original files, and you lose what you were trying to move. I advise you NEVER use move.

There is a lot not explained here and I'm guessing OP is getting his wires crossed a bunch. Are you playing your games using loadiine? If so the hard drive is useless for your purposes. If you are using the Brazilian method then the hard drive is your friend.

Maybe go read some guides that's what they are here for.
