it is a game that was released post-N3DS, most games that were released post-N3DS automatically use the full speed.
This is false. If most games released post-N3DS used the full speed, I'd be getting 3 hours of battery life out of those games on my N3DS. This clearly isn't happening.

Not to mention the fact that games released with N3DS speed support that still play on O3DS require rebooting O3DS into low OS mode. The grand total number of games that do this as of 2016/02/23 AFAIK is 3 (Smash4, Monster Hunter 4G/U, and Monster Hunter X).

Final Fantasy Explorers just came out and it does not reboot O3DS systems. Playing it on my N3DS, the battery also lasts the usual 7~8 hours of gameplay while N3DS mode games kill it dead in just over 3 hours.
