Hey all I'm on clearlooks 1.72, I have the old NOR chip, if I update to Clearlooks 1.74 will I have any problems? Thank you in advance.

Chances are yes that you will face issues with NOR and otherwise gain nothing. Though if you wanted the new clearlooks I believe the author made versions using the older loads too.

1.74 doesnt offer anything new compared to 1.72 (according to the author it shouldnt even flash on the old chips)
just flash "Clearlooks v5 (1.72RESET)" and you should be good to go

Yeah, the 1.72 or 1.74 is the firmware version, which one to use depends on your flash cart hardware.
v5 is the version of the Clearlooks skin itself, and I made both 1.72 and 1.74 versions of it.

Thank you for your help, the GBA EZ Flash IV is a pain in the ass to update, so I'm glad you answered my question.

"Put ezfla_up.bin on the root of the ?SD and hold R when booting, delete ezfla_up.bin afterwards if you feel like it" is a pain in the arse? Maybe if you go into the deepest, darkest recesses of skin making it gets to so but for the most part even skin making amounts to "put ezfla_up.bin file that uses the relevant loader into folder, put skin pictures/files into relevant folders, press build in tool, do normal update method with newly made ezfla_up.bin".
