Emailed them and this is what I got:

Hello Gabru,

this is from our next Q&A:

Q: Does SX OS support Emunand?
A: Currently it doesn't. This is a feature we can add in the future, but it is low in the priority list because of the small interest to the general public.
But because Xecuter SX is also used by advanced user, we will add Emunand support at some point.

Best regards,

Emunand is pointless if you have bootrom access.
That would be true if our current bootrom exploit wasn't a tethered hardmod. Some people may not mind, but an untethered softmod would be the holy grail. There are warmboot softmods that are not out yet but can be used in the future to avoid having to utilize Fusee Gelee to boot anything.

exactly this is the one thing holding me back from ordering a TX pro
i am on 2.3.0 and i do not want to update and burn any chance i may have had to get a persistent exploit
or even worse to find out that in the future we need an updated emunand to launch some games

This is just speculation but the softmod for users on 3.0 and below would probably use something like Pegaswitch since that was the previous cornerstone of hacking. Users on 3.01-4.1, like me with my 4.1 Switch, might have to wait until after the new Switch revision is released as they believe the unreleased software exploit might work on those Switches as well. Thankfully, Atmosphere will implement EmuNAND so you can enjoy a fully up-to-date Switch while retaining firmware 2.3

yeah i just wonder how long i will have to wait for a backup loader
my switch is virgin NIB practically ,never used at all
i could get TX but then what? i will be restricted to games that run on 3.0.0 or 2.3.0 or below and even more restrictions because no file splitting
ans i would need to update to run bigger games whatever those are, i don't even know what backups i would be able to load because of the SD file size limitation
really is too bad Tx did not release a more polished product
emunand and a way to load bigger games off the SD
this is a good solution for people on higher FW, they have nothing to lose

Yeah, there's no way around obtaining updates without being on the latest firmware or risk downloading them from Nintendo's servers. But the PS scene found ways around playing games larger than 4 GB so I believe there will be a solution for that as well.

dude you wanted tx to make you coffee too? if you want to use atmosphere that much dont make excuses about tx, the exfat limitation is your own fault, on 3 and 4.1 there was a update at that time for that particular format, tx works even in 5.02 the same as the other versions, so if you dont want to use it because of the poor limitations on your console, well dont get it, but do not be a whiner

I feel like emunand is a good idea in the case of Switch for those who wanna play pirated software. Nintendo will most likely ban you if you play non-legal games, so you could always have a emunand to play them, and sysnand to play your legal games online. Diferent game histoial, no bans.

Emunand is an entire copy of the Sysnand. Ban on the Emunand will carry over to the Sysnand regardless

I know. I was thinking about using airplane mode in emunand. This way, they cannot know so cannot ban you. Eather way you won't be able to play online so...

in reality emunand is not that great, is mostly for people that want atmosphere and full access to homebrew, is not a needed feature

Isn't this all about getting full access to homebrew? Also, I just gave an idea. For me, it seems like a good one for that people who want to play pirated games without risk.

What is emunand exactly ?
A copy of the OS, on the sdcard. Takes space, can be modified and launched from there, but your system partition (nand) stays clean. (Unless you make it dirty for no reason (looks at TX)).

Emunand is an entire copy of the Sysnand. Ban on the Emunand will carry over to the Sysnand regardless
True, but sysnand will have no traces of your emunand activities. If you are not TX and put some personaly coded files there. (TX, we think for our users - so they dont have to, and get banned...). So those are two separate environments. Think of it as rooms. One room you pirate in, the other one you dont. :)

Thing is, Nintedo might detect (online) all rooms they didn't build.

(So dont go online with emunand, but with sysnand and you are fine. At which point you'd have to decide - do I want "online" (sysnand has to be most current firmware), or do I want "chance of dongle free in the future" - in which case, sysnand stays on any low firmware you want to stay on. (no online)

With the TX' OS you get neither one of those options.

They say "because there is no interest in the broader public" - what they really mean though is - "our customers are too stupid to do complex things". So we give them piracy, say - you will accept bans - and to only use our solution from now on. And now please hand over the money in the extasy fuled vodoo orgies, that gbatemp threads with "sale link here - I bought! piracy!" threads usually are.)

TLDR; All the dumb people go with TX, and then can't complain to any of the bright people in the future. But they can ask TX for "service" - because they now have TX DRMed Switches, son.

Meh, if you gonna use TX and play game on latest FW, just update and use exFAT, your 4GB problem now solved.
