Hacking About CFW...

So my friend wants to put CFW on his PSP 2000, but I don't know how to put it on.
I'm thinking of putting CFW 6.20 PROME-5 but how would i do this?
Do i just run the app or do i have to do something else?

1 - Run the 6.20 update if he's not on 6.20.

2 - Download 6.20 PRO-B5.

3 - Run the PRO-B5.

4 - Run the PRO-B5 permanent patcher.

Out if interest, what happens if you try to run the 6.20 Permanent patch on an 0.9g? I've not really read around this issue but was wondering if they'd implemented a mobo check in the flasher.
