Hi! I have a couple of questions about the voltage regulator for ags-101 screens by BennVenn.

First, will it work in an original 40-pin GBA with the type A adapter and the mod that includes de-soldering of certain components?

Secondly, I've noticed some flickering issues in Link's Awakening DX, like the backlight is flickering slightly, almost like it's not getting enough power. It's mostly noticable on white screens. I think it might have something to do with the GB/GBC mode if that makes sense?

GBA games are fine with a stable backlight.

Lastly, will this board, with the added power, make the display a bit brighter? Not that it's needed, but it'd be a bonus.

Thanks!

GB/GBC mode would make sense. A higher voltage is used (why we need emulators to run them from GBA flash carts) and while I have not got any current draw measurements to hand (nor am I especially inclined to put back together a setup right now) I could see it being higher as a result and thus pushing things a bit beyond what someone mainly doing tests in GBA mode would see and design for. If it is a standard voltage regulator then increasing the input and output capacitance a bit would be where I start but I don't know what the full setup looks like here.

As for the others. Seem like sensible questions, however they are not ones I have the answers to.
