I know there is a method of obtaining in-app purchases (iapcracker) without having to pay at all. However there are a few games that require a connection to the server while making purchases that make said method useless.

Is there a way to bypass the server check to obtain free purchases?

(not asking how to get it but simply if a way exist)

The server check apps have not been cracked as of yet.
Actually, it seems a Russian hacker found an exploit about a week ago. By changing the device's DNS tables and selecting an item to purchase, you trick the developer's server into believing that it's communicating with the Appstore. The server that it reaches then sends a forged receipt and behaves just like the real Appstore does.
Apple can't do much about this, and pushing a firmware update won't do it. They have to literally fix their flawed in-app transaction system, and have issued a temporary solution which must be applied by the developers themselves.
