Last night I installed A9LH. Before A9LH, I have been using SaveDataFiler. I have been hearing in other threads about a JK Save Utility? What is it exactly and how do I use and install it? Does it work better with a A9LH setup? Thoughts and help appreciated :)

JK save manager is a save manager. With a cfw, you can install the cia with FBI, else, use the 3dsx.
With a cfw, you can also access the system save data (like mii streetpass data), and all save games.

Test it, you will appreciate it much better than savedatafiler.
A9LH doesn't matter.

Ok, thanks :)
How do I go about installing it? Also, can it transfer saves from physical games/carts to Gateway format for use with 3DS Gateway?
Download FBI https://github.com/Steveice10/FBI/releases

It doesn't work with Pokemon games? The FAQ says this:

-I can't open the Extra Data for [Title], but I know it's there.-
Some games with multiple versions, Pokemon and Fire Emblem Fates for example, save to
an extra data archive that they all share. This means I need to add a redirect for these
games before you can access it. I do not enumerate the Extra Data, I use the ID from the
title to access it or test if it's there.

Yep, it works fine with pokémon....
(you just need to dump the save file of the game AND the ext_data...)

You can take the .bin from the Decrypt9 download, put it in the luma/payloads folder, and name it anything you like to make it boot the right thing. E.g. up_decrypt9.bin.

Edit: I forgot you can also dump games using the Gateway menu. Just boot without the cartridge inserted to make the menu come up, and scroll over to "Dump Cartridge".
