Let's say we have a Switch 2, a modded Switch 1 with "unlicensed" games (Switch A), and an unmodded Switch 1 (Switch B).
If I were to mod Switch B, import the save data from Switch A using JKSV, then undo the mods applied to Switch B (which I'm not sure is even possible without formatting it), then transfer my save data to Switch 2, will I be safe, or will I get banned?

ive transfered save data from my modded switch running ams no issue, i setup a clean emunand that has no pirated titles on it, only use gamecarts or mig on there with my own full dumps. I use jksv to dump saves on my sysnand then import them to the emu nand not been banned and ive been doing this since switch 2 launch

Okay, it's good that I won't need a second switch for this.

I’ve been doing this and have not been banned yet

But it comes down to what game and what you did

You are talking about two different Switch 1 in the OP though?

But yes it works, I did that too.
Dirty EmuNand -> clean SysNand -> NSO cloud save backup.
It's because I automatically assumed I'd need a second switch and do all that stuff to get my saves to Switch 2. I forgot to type it in the Original message that It's just a hypothetical and not the setup I actually have. but forgot.
Post automatically merged:

Also, the specific save that I want to transfer is for Battle For Neighborville, which has been patched to work on Switch 2.

If you’re not playing public mig dumps on a switch 2

Your logs aren’t transferring from console to console
If you have a switch 1 that is modded and you use any warez from whatever, and dont properly clean your console and they detect anything of the warez when going online, then if your modded sw1 gets banned, most likely your sw2 that is completely unmodded (i dont think there are any anyway?) might also get an online ban.

That is what im trying to say.

That has not happened yet in the history of switches

The switch 1 would be banned and if anything your account and console specific logs are not transferred during a system transfer like that
