Basically I showed you my friends PC he is getting and asked what it would play.

One question!

Will it play BC2/BF3?

These are the specs for BF3 and from what I understand exactly the same for BC2.

Edit: the specs at bf3 blog are estimated and the pcgamer ones look legit.

So from what I gather he can play these?

it should be enough to be able to play both of them.
However, for BF3, if they keep things like in the beta, you'll probably play it on low and hope to keep a decent fps in every situation (again, this was my personal experience with the beta, optimization and other stuff can happen meanwhile)

If you were to build your computer yourself, you would end up with much better component and performance
