don't you think it would be easier if the first post weith the compatiability list was colour co-ordinated with games in red text not working, games in green working and games in blue for minor problems?

I gave 2 quite problematic games a try (Riviera and Yggdra Union). They're quite frankly the only games I really care about on the GBA.

And they work like a charm. No graphical glitches, no sound fuckups, no saving issues, nothing. Awesome.

This is as much as I can cipher out this thread, but some of these are pretty old and were tested before 1.21 and game_config was known so its probably not the most accurate list but it's a start.

2-in-1 Pacman World & Ms Pacman: Both games run
2-in-1 Spyro 'Season of Flame' & 'Season of Ice': OK
Advance Wars 2 - Works
Aladdin - resets as you get into the 1st level.
Astro Boy: Omega Factor (E) Slight lag, but playable
Boktai 2: Solar Boy Django - runs but may have frame rate issues with multiple enemies on screen and when entering a new area.
Boktai 3 - Works with translation patch but may have the same issues as Boktai 2
Boktai: The Sun is in Your Hand - has the RTC problem that VBAgx has on the Wii
Breath of Fire
Castlevania 2 in 1 pack - Runs fine
Castlevania Circle of the moon - A Bit laggy at times
Castlevania Harmony of Dissonance - Works
ChuChuRocket: Runs
Crazy Taxi - has some minor graphical glitches (I don't know if they were in the original version too, though)
Dragonball Z The lagacy of goku I - works
Dragonball Z The Legacy of Goku II - Works until World map (Can be Fixed with a patch)
Duke Nukem 3d: Laggy
dead to rights - pretty good
doom - playable a bit laggy
Earthworm Jim: Crashes after first level title save state and reload "should" fix this I'm not sure
Final Fantasy Tactics - Works
Final Fantasy V - runs fine (played about 10 minutes and experienced no glitches)
Final Fantsay VI - runs fine (played about 10 minutes and experienced no glitches)
Fire Emblem 1 & 2
Fire Pro Wrestling
Ghost Rider
Golden Sun - Works
Gunstar Super Heroes - runs fine
jet grind radio - very laggy
Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories - Works after getting past intro through save state trick*
Kirby & the Amazing Mirror - works great
Kirby Nightmare in Dream Land - freezes at the main screen :<
Klonoa : Empire of Dreams
Klonoa 2 : Dream Champ Tournament
Konami Krazy Racers - runs fine, some minor slowdown when there's a lot going on
Legend of Zelda - A Link to the Past & Four Swords - Playable - ALotP plays just fine, but I didn\'t attempt to test Four Swords
Legend of Zelda - The Minish Cap - Playable - Played 10 minutes or so into the game and haven\'t seen any problems.
Lion King - works fine so far played the 1st level no problems.
Lord of the Rings: The Third Age - works fine as far as I can see.

Robopon 2 Ring Version (USA) - Unplayable
Sonic Advance 1-2 - 4 bars appear and nothing else making it unplayable
Sonic Advance 3 - works
Sonic Pinball Party: Starts up Ok & played first table
Street Fighter 3 Alpha - Works
Spyro - Eternal Night: OK
Spyro - Fusion: OK
Super Bust-A-Move: Runs
Super Dodge Ball Advance: Starts up Ok & plays
Super Mario Advance 1-3 - Work Well
Super Mario Advance 4 - Saved Data Corrupt Screen Appears
Tales of Phantasia (USA) - Unplayable - Crashes the Emulator after the intro verse is spoken. If the intro is skipped, then it crashes the emulator after pushing the start game option.
Tactics Ogre The Knight of Lodis - Works
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Works
Wario Land 4 - Works
Wario Ware Inc. - runs fine
wings - good
Wolferstein3d: OK - but seems a little laggy at times IMHO
WWE Road to WrestleMania X8 - seems to run fine (played an intercontinental championship match without any problems)
X-Men - The Official Game

0041 - F-Zero - Maximum Velocity (U)(Mode7) - working fine except for the track map (it's not shown if frame skip is set to 1 and flickers on settings above)
1266 - Double Dragon Advance (U) [Mode7] - 1.13 - Crashes Emulator
1428 - Double Dragon Advance (J) [Rising Sun] - 1.13 - Playable
1661 - F-Zero GP Legend (U)(Rising Sun) - working fine (frame skip set to 1)


*Kingdom Hearts save state trick needs to be done when intro locks up. The way to do this is to wait until the intro freezes then you make a save state and load the same save state.

I can probably help you test some of these.

Only some. There's a hell of a lot of trouble with running homebrew. Check the sticky about the GBA emulator.

That would be nice, I am testing some games out that I have, some very uncommon games as well that would never make it to the list otherwise

by the by -- i was playing golden sun today and i've got 1.21 AND the game_config...game_config fixed the issue with the music being choppy, but the battles still lag and the game crashed/white screened me a couple moments right after the boulder fell blaahh

Oh well. If you read the game_config.txt and go to the parts about Golden Sun 1 and Golden Sun 2. There are a couple of comments about how horribly bad the internal coding is of those two games.

It IS horribly bad, actually. It's not because it works on a GBA (flash)card that it works perfectly fine on a Slot-1 card.
